Caribbean Islands Map

Caribbean Map

As I write this, there are thousands of people in the Caribbean Islands without power, communication, and homes due to the wrath of Hurricane Irma. We, in Southern Florida, also experienced much devastation, however, there is a HUGE difference in our ability to come back…RESOURCES.

During the hurricane, Florida was blessed with convoys of electrical workers headed in our direction, in order to help restore power as soon as possible. In the islands, they have to wait for airports to be opened, ports to be repaired, and food & water to be delivered before they can can begin repairing their electricity. If you would like to help, I recommend donating, directly, to the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO)  OR the Sandals Foundation. Every dollar will help restore the lives of the islanders.

The hardest hit islands were Barbuda, St. Martin/Sint Maarten, Anguilla, Jost Van Dyke, Tortola, Anegada, St. John, St. Thomas, St. Barth’s, and Providenciales (Turks & Caicos). Let’s band, together, to help!

In addition to helping with monetary donations, the other way YOU can help is by TRAVELING TO THE CARIBBEAN ISLANDS! Tourism is the main source of income for most of the Caribbean Islands, so DON’T stop traveling! MANY islands are OPEN FOR BUSINESS…the Bahamas, Antigua, St. Lucia, Grenada, Barbados, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and many more smaller islands.

Are you looking to get away as a family?  Just the two of you?  As a group of friends to golf or dive?  Planning a grand celebration?  Do you want to reward your top performers to a corporate retreat?  These are what I do best.

Please don’t hesitate in planning and booking your next Caribbean vacation! “We want you back!” Call me to begin your next adventure and help the Caribbean nations get back on their feet. #HibiscusTravel @travelhibiscus 561.748.8766 local  866.748.8766 nationwide terese@hibiscustravel.net   JOIN our Email list~
